Space Shuttle Discovery Services Hubble Space Telescope

On December 25, 1999, astronauts from Space Shuttle Discovery completed the fourth of five scheduled maintenance missions to the Hubble Space Telescope, which has been in Earth orbit since 1990. The final repair mission is scheduled for next August. HST, which will remain in operation until 2013, has taken some breathtaking photos of deep space.
